Kari discovered her passion for massage therapy while watching her father go through cancer treatments in 2004. It became clear to her that when the body experiences internal trauma, the outside of the body suffers as well. Massage therapy was her way to help her father ease the pain in his muscles, lower his blood pressure, and reduce the stress caused by his treatments.
Since then, Kari has studied the benefits of massage therapy and the power of human touch. For several years, she worked in a spa environment gaining experience in many different modalities. She soon realized that she had a great gift that could be better applied in a therapeutic environment. Shortly after, she joined our family at Advanced Therapeutic Massage in order to better utilize her skills.
After six years of growth and love of massage therapy, Kari has come to realize that working with people through massage not only provides therapy to the client, but also therapy to the therapist who has the privilege of providing a healing touch.
